Friends

In 2002 a Friends of Mires Beck was formed, predominately through the efforts and commitment of one of our regular volunteers Ken Mason.

The purpose of the ‘Friends’ is to support and promote the work of the nursery. This is done in various ways and in 3 short years the Friends have played a significant role in the development of the charity.

Membership costs £6 per family per year and gives the following benefits:

• 15% discount on all plant sales

• A free plant each year

• 3 newsletters each year giving details of events and developments at the nursery

The Friends have been involved in some fundraising events including coffee mornings, sponsored cycle rides and by arranging special evening events with visiting speakers. Well over £5000 has been raised and used to help with the on-going development of the nursery. Please click on Future Plans or Nursery News to find out about present developments

Friends are also able to help in a variety of ways as volunteers. Some help at the nursery or perhaps when we visit a county show to display our plants.
