Mires Beck Nursery - a place to go, a place to like, a place to grow.

News and Events

News from around the Nursery .......

We have been working with our new Garden Team Leader, Alice, to ensure all of our garden areas will be blooming in the weeks ahead.

Alice's team are busy preparing a new children's planting area which we will open for planting classes at Easter. We are also planning a new cottage garden to celebrate our wide range of wildflowers and perennials.

Our woodland walk has been cleared ahead of the Spring bluebells and Easter trail. Steve and his Estate Team have built a new domain for the gnomes kindly donated, alongside some lovely artwork our trainees have helped create to add some great features along the trail.

Our trainees have been learning about the use of herbs as balms and teas, and have enjoyed tasting some new tea flavours we will be selling this summer - please see our herb list.

The conservation planning has entered its second phase and we will be linking rural classes such as willow weaving and wood carving. Please contact carla@miresbeck.co.uk for details on current courses.

Our wonderful 14 acre site is currently undergoing a master planning exercise with our charity partner Ralgreen.
We hope to raise funds to build a new Anniversary Garden and Rural Craft Centre. We will be updating this page as the plans develop and asking for continued support from community sponsorships.

We are busy looking at our website and branding and are excited to reveal the new look Mires Beck later this season...…… watch this space!!
