Our Tree Varieties

Mires beck tree team was founded six years ago, working in partnership with William Jackson Food Groups to produce high quality root trainer (cell) grown trees to be planted in green spaces throughout the city of Hull. Since then the team has greatly expanded and now grows over 350,000 native British tree varieties annually from 24 different species, working in partnership through the Humber Forest and the Community Forest aims to reach tree planting targets for the county of Yorkshire. Most of our trees are grown in deep root trainers which have many advantages over more traditional bare root stock. They have proven very popular and we now supply many local authorities, parish councils, conservation charities, government agencies and local estates throughout Yorkshire. While numbers are expanding we are very proud of the high quality and exacting standards of the stock we produce for our customers. All seed is British sourced, peat free and is thoroughly tested for pests and diseases before entering or leaving the nursery. The stock is mainly wholesale for woodland, forestry and hedgerow projects but we can advise on larger private land requirements.

We aim to provide the very best product to each customer, suited to their needs and the habitats they intend to plant. We welcome enquiries all year round and can offer advice, guidance and even site visits to help ensure the success of your planting scheme. Please feel to ring us on 01430 421543 or email the Habitat Supervisor at stephen@miresbeck.co.uk.
