Meet Jessica
Hello! I am the Apprentice Events Coordinator of Mires Beck Nursery, and I organise classes and events here, which can range from wood carving classes with professionals, to talks and tours with our amazing staff!
I am from a farming background as I grew up on a pig farm. The rural nature of Mires Beck is familiar landscape and I love the outdoors. Also, I have been working at Tesco's for nearly 3 years. While working at Tesco's, I have had other jobs, such as farming, admin jobs, and volunteered at Calvert Trust for a couple days.
Fun Facts:
I am a keen netball player and I have a love for sports
I enjoy horse riding
I used to play the piano
I love going on holidays and planning them in the UK and abroad (from camping to big flashy holidays)
For my future career, I originally wanted to go into corporate law, however I didn't want to go to university so had to reconsider how best to apply my studies. Through an opportunity with Young Farmers, I found my love for planning big events, so I chose to find more experience within event management and coordination. I am doing this apprenticeship because I love planning things, so this is what I call my perfect job! My goal for the future, after I have gained further experience, is that I will be able to organise anything that comes into my path. In the future I would like to organise big concerts and festivals with big bands and artists, so while I'm here, I am hoping to share a little of my ambition organising activities and events for you all to enjoy locally and around Mires Beck Nursery!
What will be important for me to demonstrate is that I can successfully organise events to help raise money for the charity and our wonderful service users, and I hope that my big ideas will bring in new awareness of Mires Beck Nursery.
All projects require fundraising and we are always looking for new sponsors and volunteers to help us realise the future aspirations to maintain the charity and help it to thrive. If you would like to help please contact us.
