Crafts and Classes at Mires Beck
During the months of October to February, our teams spend time engaged in craft making. Pre-Christmas the activities focus on products to sell at our annual Christmas fair which is promoted on our Events page and post-Christmas we focus on creating crafts for the spring to sell in our retail shop. We also take orders for rural marque wedding venue’s and have made the decorations and favours for these events in recent times. Please contact us.
We regularly work with skilled craftsmen and women who come to Mires Beck to hold public classes at the weekends, either held in the Oasis or around the greenhouses. Our aim for craft, is to build a facility for all year production of crafts for both service users and the general public who would enjoy being part of our community. We would like to offer this as a community hub and with the potential to sell products made by arrangement in our shop. We will be promoting the development of this facility initially as a spring/summer pop up camp from April 2021.
Decorations
At Mires Beck Nursery, we collect natural materials to make decorative items, particularly during the autumn for Christmas decorations.
At Christmas time we make our rustic Christmas decorations, including wooden reindeers, frosty jars, Santa and snowman ceramics, bug hotels, and Christmas wreaths.
At Easter, we make lots of rustic Easter decorations, such as colourful Easter eggs to hang on your garden/inside trees! Perfect for those family fun Easter egg hunts!
We can make decorations to order, even for that special occasion coming up, such as an outdoor/seasonal wedding. So if you are interested, please click here to contact us.
