Garden Day at Mires Beck

Garden Day is a chance for people to celebrate their gardens, whether they are balcony/indoor gardeners, or flower border and lawn gardeners.

This year's Garden Day is about highlighting the positive benefits of gardens on people's wellbeing. We have all struggled through COVID-19 one way or another, and Garden Day is a day to reflect how amazing planting a seed, looking after it, and watching it grow over time, is an amazing way to feel a sense of achievement. This helps us to feel more positive when we can see the results of our efforts.
At Mires Beck, our service users are constantly helping to grow our plants and prepare them for sale. This horticultural therapy, is a respected route to help people with challenges and here it is delivered as safeguarded and routine work experience.

You can even take part in Garden Week by playing garden games and having a picnic. What better way to celebrate Garden Day than to do some gardening with family and friends!

To help us provide the correct tools and equipment to our service users, staff members and volunteers, please donate to us.
All projects require fundraising and we are always looking for new sponsors and volunteers to help us realise the future aspirations to maintain the charity and help it to thrive. If you would like to help please contact us.
