Garden Wildlife Week at Mires Beck

Garden Wildlife Week promotes ways to help support and preserve our ecosystem. Part of our eco-system are our gardens.

Did you know that bats, sparrows, hedgehogs, song thrushes and stag beetles are all species in the UK that are declining in population! We need to manage our gardens to benefit wildlife for these creatures to find more habitat and resources, such as food.
You can bring the Garden Wildlife Week celebration to your own garden or local greenspace! Either download (from below) or pick up the Mires Beck Wildlife Watch filling out sheet in our retail area. Grab your magnifying glasses, and have fun searching all over your garden or local greenspace!

Don't forget to upload a picture on social media and tag us so we can see all the fabulous fun you are having! Facebook (@miresbecknursery), Twitter (@MiresBeck), and Instagram (@miresbeck

Please donate to us to help us buy more equipment for our service users to look for wildlife and learn too!
