Earth Day at Mires Beck
Earth Day is an encouragement for us to restore our Earth. Earthday.org's aim is to expand and empower the environmental movement, by encouraging people to take action and make a difference.

We at Mires Beck Nursery do so much to contribute to restoring our Earth, such as providing national tree projects with trees grown at the nursery to contribute towards the Government's Green Action Plan. We also encourage the public to grow more fruit and vegetables in their garden by selling plants and food grown on site to help reduce the number of journeys needed to go to the shop for fresh produce, which all decreases carbon dioxide emissions. We have recently become a member of Permaculture Association, to enhance our learning programme with our service users about better ways to look after our land and its bounty.
