National Cookie Day at Mires Beck

National Cookie Day was created in 1987 by Matt Nader of a San Francisco-based Blue Chip Cookie Company. According to the website 'Days of the Year', Nader said "It's just like having National Secretaries Day...it will just be a fun thing to do!"

Various countries celebrate cookie day, with some calling it 'Oatmeal Cookie Day' or 'Bake Cookie Day'. This day is when everyone gets together and bakes cookies.
At Mires Beck Nursery, we have been making a brand new YouTube series to digitally engage more with our service users during this difficult time. To find out more about our YouTube series, please check out our 'News/Blogs/YouTube' page. In a few weeks, we will be releasing the video 'How to Make a Gingerbread Reindeer'. Some of our service users don't have access to Wi-Fi or technology, so in their workpacks I added the instructions for this recipe, which I would like to share with you guys. Please click here for the recipe.

You could bake cookies, and promote your own fundraiser by asking your friends and family to donate money to our Just Giving page for one of your cookies! We would also, of course, love to see all of the delicious cookies you have been making.
All projects require fundraising and we are always looking for new sponsors and volunteers to help us realise the future aspirations to maintain the charity and help it to thrive. If you would like to help please contact us.
