Our Latest Project...
Our Service Users with more acute learning disorders and mobility issues needing more supervision, spend their day between planting inside their own greenhouse and having recreation activities in their own classroom. We are fundraising to build a new facility to enable us to offer additional places and to enable more people to share in the benefits of the rural nursery.
We are currently seeking donations to go towards the 25th Anniversary Fund for the Mires Community Building building for our trainees with more profound learning difficulties, the disabled access around the nursery and development of the conservation area. The new planting will be called The Anniversary Wood.

We will post you a card and certificate for your tree number. Please opt to sponsor an established tree in our beautiful woodland or a new tree being planted for the anniversary in the Jubilee Wood. Lewis‘s Story
Lewis has attended Mires Beck Nursery 5 days per week since 2007. Here he has a good set of friends and looks forward to seeing them each day. Over time Lewis has made huge progress with his communication skills and is now able to verbally communicate with his family and friends giving him the ability and freedom to state his likes and dislikes. He can express himself in a variety of ways and has begun to learn sign language which will further help him with his development. In this and his increased mobility around the nursery, his confidence has grown and his smile is testament to being happy in himself.
