Cathie
Cathie has been working here for 10 years and loves everything at Mires Beck, and she feels that everyone is valued for their uniqueness and what makes them the person they are. Guidance is provided by staff, and they are all tolerant.
She feels that the staff and trainees are welcoming, and trainees give a new insight into their hidden abilities every session. Mires Beck gives a feeling of wellbeing to her, as it doesn’t matter how much she has done, the staff always gives her recognition for trying her best.
The service users/trainees give so much to the working of the nursery. Some have more difficulties to overcome than others because of their special needs, but with more volunteers, they’ll have more support. They gain good self-esteem, happiness, and this wellbeing also helps their parents and carers.
Cathie challenges the service users to work independently and to feel good about any challenge that comes their way.
Her team needs new trolleys to push the plants around during a work task, as she feels they never have enough.
