Debbie

Down Syndrome is a condition when a child is born with an extra copy of a chromosome, which causes them to have mental and physical development delays and disabilities.

People with Down Syndrome will have some degree of learning disability, and some will be more independent than others (such as getting a job).

Debbie has small stubby fingers with having Down's Syndrome. Mires Beck have provided Debbie with the tools that make it possible for her to plant a seedling, mix compost, label the plants and many other satisfying activities. Debbie finds it difficult to understand instructions and different situations. For example, COVID-19 has been very traumatic for her. Mires Beck has offered structure and distraction for which we are grateful.
All projects require fundraising and we are always looking for new sponsors and volunteers to help us realise the future aspirations to maintain the charity and help it to thrive. If you would like to help please contact us.
